anchorage florist, Dallas wilder, bloomsbury blooms

Take a peek inside Dallas Wildeve’s world and you will discover a colorful tapestry in the seasonal blooms that inspire her designs. From her small Alaskan farm along the bluffs of the Matanuska River, Dallas cultivates climbing roses, sweet peas, dahlias and peonies—an abundance of flowers that defines her romantic yet wild style.

Raised in the small art town of Ashland, Oregon, Dallas remembers the elaborate theatre sets, art galleries and the menagerie of unique individuals that filled her childhood.  Her mother, an artist with a gift for bold design, was able to create a lush garden from any space; her sense of design and commitment to beauty continues to influence Dallas today.

When Dallas moved to Alaska in 1999, she was immediately taken with the beauty and ruggedness of the state. After a decade of exploring various art mediums including fiber art, painting, jewelry and sculpture, she found her true calling in flowers.  Her floral studio, Bloomsbury Blooms, was established in 2012 and soon grew to include a small flower farm.

Dallas specializes in seasonal wedding florals and event design. Her floral creations, layered with texture and unexpected details, have a timeless aesthetic, familiar yet luxurious, with old world charm. Dallas draws inspiration from the world around her, whether she is at home or traveling afar. Landscapes, food, textiles, fashion and architecture—all of these influence her design.

Florist’s Review picked Bloomsbury Blooms as one of their 125 most exciting florists across North America in 2022. Martha Stewart Weddings chose Bloomsbury Blooms as one of their 62 top floral designers of 2015. Dallas is honored to have created wedding florals for hundreds of couples. Her passion for sharing the beauty and joy of flowers forever grows.
